Project DescriptionAn existing exterior patio and adjacent entry at YSU’s Stambaugh Stadium will be enclosed to provide training space forstudent athletes. The additional space will accommodate the needs of baseball, softball, football and lacrosse as well asother sports. The training area will include a turf playing surface with multiple batting cages that will be utilized year-round.Additionally, the existing ground floor lobby and loading dock area will be expanded to align with the overhang created bythe training area on the level above. The training area will be accessed by existing stairs, ramp and elevator.The approximately 8,000 s.f. training area will be enclosed with new masonry walls and a new roof above while the 1,400s.f. entry expansion will require a new storefront entry. Complete design services shall include structural evaluation ofexisting conditions as well as design of new floor and roof systems. The MEP scope shall include new lighting, power andfire alarm devices as well as heating, cooling and ventilation for the newly created spaces.B. Scope of ServicesUpon award of the Agreement, commence by developing the Program of Requirements (“POR”).The selected A/E, as a portion of its required Scope of Services and prior to submitting its proposals, will discuss andclarify with the Owner and/or the Contracting Authority, the cost breakdown of the A/E Agreement detailed costcomponents to address the Owner’s project requirements. Participate in the Encouraging Diversity , Growth & Equity(EDGE) Program as required by statute and the Agreement.As required by the Agreement, and as properly authorized, provide the following categories of services: ProgramVerification, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Document Preparation, Bid and Award Support,Conformed Documents, Construction Administration, Post-Construction, and Additional Services of all types.Refer to the Ohio Facilities Construction Manual for additional information about the type and extent of services requiredfor each.
