Commodity or Service Required: Purchase of Volvo Construction Equipment Parts and Service Description: Lee County Solid Waste seeks to execute a sole source procurement for Volvo construction equipment parts and service by Alta Enterprises LLC. The parts and service are used to maintain the Solid Waste fleet of Volvo equipment in proper and working order for increased efficiency and safety. Intended Sole Source: Alta Enterprises, LLC Justification for Sole Source Acquisition: Alta Enterprises, LLC is the sole authorized Volvo Construction Equipment dealership in the region. Alta provides OEM parts and utilizes proprietary engine and transmission diagnostic software that is only available to the manufacturer's authorized dealerships; this software is required to properly diagnose computer and advanced technical and mechanical problems. Recommended Procurement Approach: For the reason(s) stated above, Lee County Procurement Management intends to utilize the Sole-Source Procurement method to purchase from Alta Enterprises, LLC to supply the above.
