Project Description: The project consists of the replacement of approximately 6,700 linear feet of existing 14-inch steel water transmission line installed in 1949 along NM-502. Due to age-related deterioration and frequent leaks, the existing pipeline will be replaced with a new 14-inch ductile iron pipe. This line is a critical transmission main conveying water from Otowi Well #4 to the Townsite area of Los Alamos.
