These items shall have the sameforce and effect as the original bid and contract documents, and bids to be submitted on the specified date shall conformwith the additions, deletions and revisions as listed herein.ITEM # 1 QUESTIONS/ANSWERSQ1: It is noted that the requirement for 56' steel panels with a moment of inertia of 363 and a section modulusof 134.8–172.8. These specifications appear excessive for this specific project and area. Our panel supplier andhis engineering team recommend using the 100.5 panels instead. Would this be an acceptable alternative forthis project?A1: To state that an engineer recommended a 100.5 panel is not adequate information for consideration. There arestandard practices for the evaluation of cantilever sheet pile walls that require analysis and calculations.Q2: Follow-up to Q7 on Addendum 3 (262116c) and Q2 on Addendum 5 (262116e) - Have you received aresponse from Florida DOHR regarding a list of qualified archeologists?A2: We have not received an answer. It is the contractor’s responsibility to acquire the services of a qualifiedarchaeologist. As an alternative to the Florida DOHR, according to the Register of Professional Archaeologists (RPA),anyone who meets the qualifications for RPA would be SOI qualified. A directory can be found athttps://rpanet.org/registrant-directory. A representative of the RPA also provided a list of some Cultural ResourceManagement Firms that work in the State or Region which is posted below. This is just a sampling of the availableresources, but as a reminder, it is ultimately the contractor’s responsibility to research and acquire the services of aqualified archaeologist.• ACI, Inc. – http://www.aci-crm.com• Brockington and Associates – https://brockingtoncrm.com• Coastal Environments Inc. – http://www.coastalenv.com• Janus Research – http://janus-research.com• Prentice Thomas and Associates – http://www.prenticethomas.com• R. Although we are using FDOTspecifications as a guideline, this project is not an FDOT funded project.ITEM # 2 BID OPENING DATE CHANGE: The date has been changed to March 18, 2026.This addendum is binding and is to be considered as if contained within the original bid documents of Bid No. 20260211.Bidders are required to acknowledge receipt of this addendum on their bid forms.Kimberly A.
