NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed bids will be received by Whatcom County Administrative Services Finance/Purchasing at their office on the fifth floor of the Whatcom County Courthouse, 311 Grand Avenue, Suite 503, Bellingham, WA 98225 for purchase and installation of the following:

Subzone Levee Vegetation Maintenance 2026

UNTIL: 2:30 PM Tuesday, May 19, 2026

At which time and place the bids will be opened (virtual via Zoom), and read aloud. All bidders and any other interested persons are invited to watch the virtual bid opening via Zoom. Late submittals will not be considered.

Whatcom County Flood Control Zone District (FCZD) requests bids for Subzone levee vegetation maintenance in 2026. This contract provides for the mowing and brushing of the Lynden (LE), Sumas Nooksack Everson (SNE), and Acme Van Zandt (AVZ) Subzones. maintained levee segments, as further described in the bid documents.

Award will be made to the lowest qualified bidder. The FCZD reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and to waive any irregularities. The FCZD encourages disadvantaged, minority, and women owned firms to respond.

The FCZD in conjunction with Whatcom County, herein after referred to jointly as ‘Whatcom County’, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (42 U.S.C. 2000d et seq.) and Title 2 Code of Federal Regulations Part 200.321(b)(1)-(5), hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, small and minority businesses, women’s business enterprises, and labor surplus area firms as defined at 2 CFR, will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin, or sex in consideration for an award.

As required by law, the E-Verify System may be required.
