at which time they will be publicly opened and read in the Office of Procurement. The City of Springfield, through its Department of Parks, Buildings & Recreation Management – Facilities Division, is seeking bids from qualified contractors to enter into an agreement to provide site improvements at the following Springfield Public Schools. These bids fall under M.G.L. Ch. 30§39M and other procurement statutes. Bid documents can be requested through the City’s website; www.springfield-ma.gov beginning on May 6, 2026.
Bid 26-186 – Liberty Elementary School, 962 Carew St, Springfield, MA 01104. Project includes installation of sediment & erosion controls; bituminous concrete pavement; cement concrete pavement; ADA-compliant walks; and site restoration. Estimated value of the contract is approximately $225,000.00. It is strongly encouraged to attend a site visit on 5/13/26 at 10:00 A.M. on-site.
All questions regarding the IFB or its specifications must be received in writing by the Office of Procurement on or before 5/14/26 by 4:30 P.M. (nwalker@springfieldcityhall.com) in order to be considered. The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women (MWBE) participation in all contracts. MA DLS Prevailing Wage rates apply. The Chief Procurement Officer/Designee reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
