Specifications and/or Special Conditions

Description: The following specification covers the requirements for an all-wheel driveTelescopic Wheeled Excavator

1. General (Weight, Dimensions, Cab, Capacities)

a. Conventional Cab with setback axle.

b. 36,200 lb. GVWR - 190” Wheelbase

c. Single Front Axle – 13,200 lb. with minimum 55 degree turning angle of steer wheels.

d. Single Rear Axle dual wheels – 23,000 lb.

e. Leaf spring front suspension, Solid mount rear suspension

f. All tires shall be 11R 22.5 all-terrain tread

g. Wheels shall be steel 10 stud, hub piloted

h. Must be able to maintain 55 MPH or greater

i. C – Channel inner frame reinforcement

j. Paint – White or Yellow

k. Interior shall be a neutral color with vinyl seats and heavy duty rubber flooring

l. Factory installed Radio, Heat and Air Conditioning, and 12 volt power supply in both front and rear cabs.

m. Divers side Air Ride Seat

n. Air Dryer shall be Bendix AD9 Heated (or approved equivalent)

o. Integral hydraulic power steering

2. Engine / Powertrain

a. Cummins Turbo Diesel Engine Current model year EPA compliant

b. Horsepower (gross): 300HP 6 cylinder Diesel, 6.7L minimum

c. Torque: Minimum 660 lb./ft.

d. Allison 3500 RDS Automatic Transmission or approved equivalent

e. Fuel Capacity: 80 Gallons Minimum

f. Air Restriction Monitor, intake mounted

3. Hydraulic System and upper unit

a. Hydraulic pressure minimum of 3,800 PSI

b. Thermostat controlled hydraulic cooling system

c. Shall have auxiliary hydraulic capability of running a 50” flail mower

d. Minimum 6 MPH travel speed while in “dig” mode

e. Must utilize chassis transmission to propel while in “dig” mode

f. Easily changeable controls between SAE and Gradall style

g. 22’ Boom Length

h. No greater than 30” of swing clearance off the machine on traffic side while digging

i. Must dig within an 11’ travel lane

j. Maximum height of 12’ 7” with boom in cradle

k. Boom shall pivot to 30 degrees up and 60 degrees down

l. Bucket shall pivot to 165 degrees

m. Boom shall rotate 220 degrees total. 110 degrees from center.

n. Boom shall have lift height to load a dump truck

4. Accessories

a. Shall have a removable 60” ditch bucket

b. Shall have a removable 40” flail cutter

c. Shall have a removable fixed thumb grapple
