The proposal is madewithout collusion on the part of any person, firm, or corporation. This bid offering is intendedto comply with the Rebuild Alabama Act, Act No. 2019-2, and Title 39 of the Alabama Code,1975 edition as amended, the Alabama Public Works Law. Bidders shall be required to complywith the provisions of the Rebuild Alabama Act, Act No. 2019-02 and Title 39 of the AlabamaCode regardless if the requirement is explicitly detailed in the bid proposal or not.Sealed bids will be received by the Lee County Commission at 215 South 9th Street, Opelika, AL,36801 until 10:00 AM Central Time on May 13, 2026, and then publicly opened as soon thereafteras practicable. On the basis of the specifications and plans the undersignedproposes to furnish all necessary machinery, tools, apparatus, and other means of construction,and do all the work and furnish all the material in the manner specified.The undersigned further agrees to complete all the work in:Seventy-Five ( 75 ) One Hundred and Fifteen (115) Working Daysas defined in the most current revision of the Alabama Department of Transportation StandardSpecifications. Furthermore, the contractor shall name the City ofSmiths Station as an “Additional Insured” on the contractor’s commercial generalliability insurance policy, and the contractor shall provide the City with a Certificate ofInsurance verifying this coverage before the commencement of any construction.Waiver of SubrogationThe Workers Compensation Policy shall contain a Waiver of Subrogation in favor of theCounty Commission of Lee County, Alabama, its officers, appointees, employees, and agents.Certificate of InsuranceA Certificate of Insurance evidencing the above minimum requirements must beprovided to and accepted by the County Commission of Lee County, Alabama PRIOR tocommencement of any work on the contract.
