Bid Title: 328 S Wilmette Ave Fence
Category: Public Works Status: Open Description: 1. Time and Place of Opening Bids. Sealed proposals for the Village of Westmont 328 S Wilmette Ave Fence Replacement project will be received at 155 E. Burlington Avenue, Westmont, Illinois until 1:00 P.M., June 30, 2026, and at that time will be publicly opened and the total price read aloud.
2. Description of Work. The work includes demolition of the existing fence located at 328 S Wilmette St and construction of a new cedar fence and chain link fence with privacy slats. The work also includes installation of new gates, one with motorized operation, restoration, traffic control and protection.
3. Information for Bidders. Copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Village of Westmont website, www.westmont.illinois.gov .
The Village of Westmont is exempt from the Illinois State, municipal or county Retailers Occupation Tax, Service Occupation Tax, Use Tax, and Service Use Tax as described in Illinois Compiled Statute Chapter 35. Bid prices shall not include the cost of such taxes.
All Bids must be accompanied by a Bidder's bond, certified check, bank cashier's check or bank draft payable to the Village of Westmont for ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the Bid as provided in the Bidder Instructions.
A non-mandatory Pre-Bid meeting will be held in-person on Monday June 22, 2026 at 10:00 A.M. The pre-proposal meeting will be held at Westmont Public Works, 155 E. Burlington Ave.
4. Rejection of Bids. The Board of Trustees reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive technicalities. Unless the Bids are rejected for good cause, award of contract shall be made to the lowest responsible and responsive Bidder.

Whenever the answer to a question is contained in the bid documents,the bidder shall be directed to the provision in the specifications which responds to the question.The Village of Westmont, Illinois will not be responsible for any other explanation of thespecifications made prior to the receipt of bids.8. ALTERNATE PROPOSALS: Unless the proposal form states that an alternate proposal ispermissible, each vendor may submit only ONE proposal. If an unsolicited alternate is includedin the bid, only the first proposal seen by the Village will be read and considered.9. PARTY INTERESTED IN MORE THAN ONE BID: A party who has quoted prices for work,materials, or supplies to a bidder is not thereby disqualified from quoting prices to other biddersor from submitting a bid directly for the work, materials, or supplies.10. BIDS BINDING FOR 90 DAYS: Unless otherwise specified in the specifications, all formalbids submitted shall be binding for ninety (90) calendar days following the date of Opening.11. WITHDRAWAL OF BIDS: A written request for the withdrawal of a bid will be granted if therequest is received by the Village prior to the specified time of opening.12. BIDDERS INVITED TO BID OPENING: At the time assigned for the opening of formal bids,the bids will be opened and read aloud.
