Description: 1. Time and Place of Opening Bids.  Sealed proposals for the Village of Westmont 328 S Wilmette Ave Fence Replacement project will be received at 155 E. Burlington Avenue, Westmont, Illinois until 1:00 P.M., June 30, 2026, and at that time will be publicly opened and the total price read aloud. 2. Description of Work.  The work includes demolition of the existing fence located at 328 S Wilmette St and construction of a new cedar fence and chain link fence with privacy slats. The work also includes installation of new gates, one with motorized operation, restoration, traffic control and protection. 3. Information for Bidders.  Copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Village of Westmont website, www.westmont.illinois.gov . The Village of Westmont is exempt from the Illinois State, municipal or county Retailers Occupation Tax, Service Occupation Tax, Use Tax, and Service Use Tax as described in Illinois Compiled Statute Chapter 35.  Bid prices shall not include the cost of such taxes. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bidder's bond, certified check, bank cashier's check or bank draft payable to the Village of Westmont for ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the Bid as provided in the Bidder Instructions. A non-mandatory Pre-Bid meeting will be held in-person on Monday June 22, 2026 at 10:00 A.M. The pre-proposal meeting will be held at Westmont Public Works, 155 E. Burlington Ave. 4. Rejection of Bids.  The Board of Trustees reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive technicalities.  Unless the Bids are rejected for good cause, award of contract shall be made to the lowest responsible and responsive Bidder.
