ADDITIONAL QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

1. Addendum 1 added a significant amount of work to the proposal but did not address the

contract time for the additional work. How will contract time be handled for the Add

Alternate Work?

Additional work can be performed concurrently with roadway improvements.

2. Would you consider pushing the bid date due to the significant amount of additional work

added by Addendum 1?

The bid due date will remain as April 21, 2026 at 10 am.

3. The bottom of the proposed channel is 5-6’ below the top of pavement. The Geotech

report indicates ground water encountered at 7.5’ depths from the top of pavement. What

will be done if subgrade cannot be made due to the ground water levels being just below

the subgrade elevations, and how will any extra work be paid for?

Addendum 1 for utilities is at a greater depth than channel improvements, therefore

ground water levels should not be an issue.

4. Sheet 119 shows 12” of select fill, there are not any bid items for select fill. How will this

be paid for? What is the specification for the select fill?

The 12” Select Fill on Sheet 119 is subsidiary to the Bid Item 420 6074 Class C

CONC (MISC).

5. Water and sewer utilities, among other items, were added through Addendum No. 1.

However, no additional time was allocated to the project. The added scope now impacts

the critical path of the schedule.

Additional work can be performed concurrently, utilizing same TCP.

6. Will the owner consider granting additional time to account for this significant change in

scope?

The bid due date will remain as April 21, 2026 at 10 am.

7. There is a question on the Bid Review Document Checklist regarding a HUB plan.

However, I was unable to find any related information in the bid packet. Could you

please provide clarification?

The HUB plan only applies to contractors that are HUB certified then

documentation would be provided if not then N/A.
