QUESTION: Can the City share the budget for this project?
ANSWER: The consultant shall submit a proposal that includes all required
deliverables, as well as any additional value-added deliverables based on their
experience. The City has allocated funding for this project through Council discretionary
funds.

ANSWER: The consultant shall submit a proposal that includes all required
deliverables, as well as any additional value-added deliverables based on their
experience. The City has allocated funding for this project through Council discretionary

QUESTION: For Task 4.4 - Could the City clarify whether the consultant is expected to
serve as the primary lead for managing the CEQA process and preparing the
environmental document through certification, or if the City will take lead for specific
procedural steps?
ANSWER: The consultant will serve as the primary lead for managing the CEQA
process and preparing the environmental documentation through certification.
QUESTION: For Task 4.4 - Could the City clarify whether the technical studies
supporting the CEQA document are expected to rely primarily on existing City datasets
and prior analyses (e.g., current tree inventory, GIS layers, and planning documents), or
whether the consultant should scope for new plan-level analyses, such as urban forest
canopy cover assessment or planting opportunity analysis, to establish the
environmental baseline and evaluate program-level impacts?
ANSWER: The consultant shall use existing City datasheets, prior analyses and new
plan level-analyses to support the CEQA and environmental documents. The consultant
shall submit a proposal that includes all required deliverables, as well as any additional
value-added deliverables based on their experience.
QUESTION: Please confirm whether there is an estimated total number of trees
anticipated for this project, or if proposers should reference the total documented in the
2011 survey.
ANSWER: The City estimates the total number of trees to be approximately 100,974.

any variation in the final tree count.

content and level of detail required. Additionally, what maintenance interval is
anticipated, and approximately how many project pages are expected?

format for the ‘Tree Planting and Maintenance Guidance Manual?
