REQUEST FOR PROPOSALSLILLIAN WEBB PARK RAILING RFP PW 26-01The City of Norcross Public Works department is soliciting sealed competitive proposals from qualified, licensed, insured contractors for the removal and replacement of between 1,300 to 1,400 linear feet of iron handrailing at Lillian Webb Park.
Desired project completion by March 16, 2025. All work must be completed in 60 days from when Notice to Proceed is issued and in accordance with industry specifications and standards.
The RFP package should be clearly marked “RFP PW 26-01 – LILLIAN WEBB PARK RAILING” on its face and submitted by 11:00 a.m. onDecember 4, 2025, to the address below. Please submit two printed copies and one electronic copy (USB) of your package to:

The rail replacement is intended to guarantee longevity and to address needsidentified by recent inspections of the current state of the railing. A building permit is anticipatedfor the project and will be the responsibility of the contractor. All work must be completed in 60days from when Notice to Proceed is issued and in accordance with industry specifications andstandards and City of Norcross code.2. PROJECT SCOPEMobilization/DemobilizationIncludes establishing job site based on plans for the duration of the job and mobilization andrestoration after the project. Also includes the following• Transportation of all necessary equipment, tools, and materials to the job site.• Site preparation and safety setup, including temporary fall protection, signage, andbarriers to secure the area between removal and installationRemoval of existing railing• Includes removal, hauling, and disposal of existing handrailing:• Careful removal of approximately 1,300-1,400 linear feet of existing railing.• Proper disposal or recycling of removed materials in accordance with local regulations.• Inspection and preparation of the substrate (concrete, stone, wood, etc.) for newinstallation.Construction of new railing• Supply and install 1,300-1,400 linear feet of new metal railings to match projectspecifications (to be defined: material type, finish, height, spacing, style, etc.)• Anchoring and securing railings to ensure compliance with applicable safety codes.• All cutting, welding, grinding, and finishing to be performed onsite as needed.Finishing and Clean-Up• Protective coatings as required (Sandblast prior before applying black poweredcoating)• Ensure all installed railings are level, secure, and free from defects.• Remove all debris and clean the site upon completion.General Requirements• All work must comply with local building codes, OSHA safety standards, and projectspecifications.• Contractor to coordinate with the client regarding access, scheduling, and any requiredinspections.4Location5 College StreetNorcross, Georgia300713.
