2026/2027

THE HARDIN County BOARD OF EDUCATION IS ACCEPTING SEALED BIDS

FOR the PURCHASE OF JANITORIAL SUPPLIES FOR THE PERIOD OF JULY

1, 2026 TO JUNE 30, 2027. SEALED BIDS WILL BE ACCEPTED AT THE

HARDIN County BOARD OF EDUCATION, 65 W.A. JENKINS RD.,

ELIZABETHTOWN, KENTUCKY 42701, UNTIL 2:00 P.M., MAY 4th, 2026.

BIDS SHOULD BE SEALED, PROPERLY IDENTIFIED AS A BID BY LABELING

THE ENVELOPE "JANITORIAL BID

ENCLOSED" IN THE LOWER LEFT-HAND CORNER, AND SENT TO THE

ATTENTION OF JESSICA ANNIS, DIRECTOR OF FINANCE. THE BIDS WILL

BE OPENED IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING THE CLOSING TIME AND

TABULATED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. THE BIDS WILL BE SUBMITTED FOR

CONSIDERATION AT THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF

EDUCATION ON JUNE 18, 2026 AT 6:00 P.M.

BID QUOTATION FORMS, SPECIFICATIONS AND GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS ARE

ATTACHED.

THE BID WILL BE AWARDED ON THE LOWEST and or Best EVALUATED BID

PRICE.

*CONSIDERATION WILL BE GIVEN TO PRIOR EXPERIENCE WITH THE BIDDER

AVAILABILITY OF product, and local cooperative pricing. The board of education

also reserves the right to accept a total bid, or any part of a bid as it deems to be in

the best interest of the school system. Also, we will not accept equipment or supplies

that are on a rental basis*.

GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS AND CONDITIONS

BIDDER'S COMPANY NAME

The Board of Education reserves the right to waive defects and informalities in

proposals or accept any proposal as may be deemed to be in the best interest of the

school system.

The bid price will include delivery to the Hardin County Board of Education

Building and Grounds Warehouse, 2490 Leitchfield Road, Elizabethtown, Kentucky

42701. The only exception to the delivery location will be for paper products and can

liners that are ordered by the individual schools, then the delivery and invoicing is

made to the school. Delivery will be required within thirty days (30) after order is

placed. Deliveries will be made by company owned trucks only, as common carriers

present delivery problems.

National brand products need only be bid.

Bid prices shall remain in effect three hundred and sixty-five (365) days from the

date of bid approval by the Board of Education.

Sales tax will not apply to any purchase.

All items should be non-aerosol with the exception of gum remover, vandalism

remover, and furniture polish and aerosol disinfectant.

​ All items marked with *** require a sample to be considered. If the specs do not say

equal" then only the specific item will be accepted. If the specific item is bid then no

sample is necessary. All samples become the property of the Hardin County Board of

Education. All samples must be delivered to 2490 Leitchfield Rd., Elizabethtown, KY

(Div. of Buildings and Grounds) by the bid closing time specified. Safety Data Sheets

are required with all samples.

Warranty on all equipment (body and parts) must be included with bid price.

Invoices must be itemized (including prices), must show a purchase order number

and state the order is complete. Partial Orders will only be accepted with prior

authorization.

Upon completion of the order the invoice will be submitted to the board for

payment. The invoice will be approved for payment only if it has a purchase order

number on it.

Please bill to individual schools for paper towel and can liner orders only.

No Substitute Products will be accepted unless approved before the order is

shipped. No minimum order requirements will be enforced by vendors.

All dispensers provided by vendors will become the property of Hardin County

Schools Upon delivery.
