REQUEST FOR FORMAL WRITTEN PROPOSALS FOR PURCHASE OF 2026 CHEMICALS FOR THE SAINT PETER WATER TREATMENT FACILITY

The City of Saint Peter, Department of Public Works, Water Utility is requesting formal written proposals for the following materials/equipment:

1. 
   Cost per pound/gallon or tote.
2. Cost for freight.
3. Fuel charges or other costs not identified.
4. Pricing for the 2026 calendar year.

When pricing, please be informed the city will make every attempt to provide adequate in advance notice when scheduling deliveries. Caustic Soda may have only a two-day notice. Delivery hours for chemicals are Monday-Thursday (7:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.).

Please provide an annual 2026 price for the following:

1. Sodium Metabisulfite Bags of Granular Food Grade 50 lbs. (price per pound) (2026 Estimated usage is 10,000 pounds.)

1. Caustic Soda with 50% Diaphragm (price per gallon) (2026 Estimated usage is 10,000 gallons.)

1. Antiscalant Phosphate Free (price per pound) (2026 Estimated usage is 11,500 pounds.)

1. Sodium Hypochlorite Liquid 12.5% (price per gallon) (2026 Estimated usage is 3,100 gallons.)

1. Potassium Permanganate Granular Free Flowing (price per pound) (2026 Estimated usage is 2,500 pounds.)

1. Corrosion Inhibitor 50% Ortho/50% Poly Phosphate (price per pound) (2026 Estimated usage is 600 gallons.)

1. Chlorine 150-pound Gas Cylinders (price per cylinder)  (2026 Estimated usage is 40 cylinders.)

1. Hydrofluorosilicic Acid 32% (price per pound)  (2026 Estimated usage is 7,000 pounds.)
