Bid Title: RESIDENTIAL LEAD BASED PAINT, ASBESTOS, AND RADON INSPECTION FOR HOUSING REHABILITATION
Category: Request for Proposals Status: Open Description: The inspector should have considerable experience in performing inspections of residential property for lead-based paint, asbestos, and radon. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Perform on call lead-based paint, asbestos, and radon inspections of occupied residential properties.
- Issue reports of findings and certifications of clearance.
- Recommend remediation work if lead-based paint, asbestos, or radon is found and above the allowable threshold per state and federal regulations.
- Estimate cost of all needed remediation work.

• Possess a current business license/Occupational Tax Certificate where required by local law.
• Have sufficient workers compensation, general liability and builders risk insurance policies in force.
• Possess sufficient financial stability to enable the contractor to finance the rehabilitation for 30 days while reimbursement from HUD is processed.
• Demonstrate experience in each of the areas listed.Special Requirements: Any party interested in doing business with the Federal Government must register for a Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) through the System For Award Management (SAM.gov), and must not be on the list of debarred contractors. At least one of the references should be abanking reference (to substantiate financial ability).f. Proposed rate per inspection.5. Disclosure of any business or familial relationship with members of HAN, the Newnan UrbanRedevelopment Agency, City of Newnan Council members or staff.6.
