Description: Sealed proposals shall be delivered to the Village Administrator, Village of Montgomery, 200 N. River Street, Montgomery, IL 60538 by no later than 4:00 P.M. on Monday, December 9, 2024. Sealed envelopes should be clearly labeled "Proposal for Village Attorney," and include the Firm's name. Five original proposals with signature must be provided upon request, however, electronic submittals will be accepted in Adobe Acrobat (.pdf) format sent to attention of: For security reasons, you must enable JavaScript to view this E-mail address. . If sent by mail, the sealed envelope containing the proposals must be enclosed in another envelope addressed to the Village at the location stated in this paragraph. Proposals received prior to the time of opening will be securely kept and saved, unopened. No responsibility shall be attached to the Village for the premature or non-opening of a proposal not properly addressed and identified. Proposals arriving after the above specified time, whether sent by mail, courier or in person, shall not be accepted. These proposals will either be refused or returned unopened. It is the Firm's responsibility for timely delivery regardless of the method used.  Mailed proposals which are delivered after the specified time will not be accepted regardless of the postmarked date or time on the envelope. Facsimile ("fax") machine transmitted proposals shall not be accepted, nor will the Village transmit the RFQ documents to prospective Firms by way of a facsimile machine. The Village expects to adhere to the following time schedule: Phase Anticipated Date Issue Request for Qualifications November 4, 2024 Deadline for clarification and questions November 18, 2024 Notice of Intent due November 18, 2024 Village response to questions November 25, 2024 Materials Due December 9, 2024 Proposer interviews Week of January 6, 2025 Recommendation made to Village Board January 27, 2025 **Please note that this is a tentative schedule and dates may be subject to change if additional time for review is required.  Any proposal submitted will be valid for 90 days. Qualified attorneys and/or firms may submit proposals for the services sought by the Village. The Village is furnishing herein a scope of services by which such proposals shall be considered. Any firm (hereinafter "Firm") desiring to furnish a proposal for such services shall submit proposals following the instructions and format of this Request for Qualifications (“RFQ”). The Village’s intent is to enter into an open-ended agreement with the selected attorney or law firm. Special Requirements: Purpose and Scope of Services This Section presents background information on the Village and a summary of the scope of services to be provided by the Firm. This information is intended to facilitate preparation of proposals. This summary is not intended to serve as a full and complete description of the scope of services. Firms submitting responses to the Village’s request shall provide reasonably detailed descriptions of their qualifications to provide the Services in a manner suitable to the Village.
