Bid Title: Caldwell County Juvenile Crime Prevention Council Requests for Proposals: Fiscal Year 2026- 27

Description:

JCPC requests proposals to serve delinquent and at-risk youth, ages 6 – 17, from local non-profits, public agencies, and housing authorities.  Approximately $263,703* through NC Department of Public Safety – Division of Adult Correction/Juvenile Justice for fiscal year July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027.  Requires a 20% local match.  Funding priority will be given to proposals for the following service types:  Psychological Assessments; Services Addressing Problem Sexual Behavior; Counseling Services; Teen Court/Restorative Circles; Mediation; Restitution/Community Service; Interpersonal Skills Building; Mentoring; Substance Abuse Treatment.


Programs should address the following concerns as reported in the Youth Assessment & Screening Instrument (YASI) for Adjudicated Youth: Previous Delinquent Referrals, Person Crimes, Family Alcohol and Substance Abuse Issues, Family Mental Health Issues, Family Criminal History; Living Arrangements; Issues Addressing Truancy issues, School Behavior and Academic Performance; Issues surrounding Peers and Associates, Youth Alcohol/Substance Use, Mental Health issues, History of Abuse, History with Victimization/Aggression.


An information session will be held virtually on January 21, 2026 at 10:00 am.  This meeting is mandatory for new programs who are interested in applying for funds. https://ncdps.webex.com/ncdps&nbsp ; You must RSVP to Megan Webster at: 828-641-7167.

In order to apply for FY 2026-2027 JCPC funding, you must complete and submit your application online by accessing NC ALLIES on or before February 9, 2026 at 5:00 pm.   Please read and follow all instructions at: https://cp.ncdjjdp.org/CP&nbsp ; Additional self-help videos on the NC ALLIES webpage are available by clinking on the HELP tab.  Private non-profits are also required to submit, by uploading in NC ALLIES, the following:

1) No Over Due Tax form, 2) DPS Conflict of Interest Statement, 3) Agency Conflict of Interest Policy, and 4) Proof of 501(c)(3) status. (#1 & #2 are available at the above link.)

One pdf copy must be emailed to the JCPC Chairperson or Designee listed below by the due date.
