Community Mental Health Loan Repayment Program: Psychiatrists and Advanced Practitioners CMHLRP 2025 Prescriber RFP

The Office of Mental Health is awarding state aid grants for community agencies that want to offer student loan repayment to eligible new or existing psychiatrists and advanced practitioners.

The agencies must provide eligible mental health programs licensed/authorized by OMH.

For this 2025 Prescriber RFP, $6M is available for a minimum of 240 awards (120/psychiatrists, 120/advanced practitioners).

Agencies can apply on behalf of eligible professionals for student loan repayment funding over the course of a 3-year service commitment as follows:

• For psychiatrists, up to $120,000 over 3 years
• For psychiatric nurse practitioners and physician assistants, up to $30,000 over 3 years
