Request for Bids - Clements Street - Farley Place Sidewalk Project
The City of Paducah Engineering Department will receive sealed bids for the City of Paducah’s “Clements St – Farley Place Sidewalk Project” on Thursday, June 11, 2026, 2:00 P.M.CST. All Bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud in the Commission Chambers, Second Floor, City Hall, 300 South 5th Street, Paducah, Kentucky.
This project consists of the replacement of sidewalks along Clements Street and Farley Place.
This project is funded in part or in whole through Community Development Block Grant funding received through the US Department of Housing and Urban Development, and will require the Contractor and all Sub-Contractors employed by the Contractor to strictly comply with all Federal, State, and local laws and regulations.

This“Notification of Work” will instruct the Contractor of the necessary Work required along with a timeperiod to initiate the completion of the Work regardless of the amount of Work to be completed. In theevent the Contractor fails to initiate the completion of the Work covered under the provisions of thiscontract within the given time, the Contractor will then be considered to be default of the contractobligations.E-911 NOTIFICATIONThe Contractor shall notify the Police Dispatch Office (E911 Dispatch) at 270-444-8550 atthe beginning of each day prior to the start of work if the public traffic is affected in any way.The Contractor shall be responsible for notifying owners of parked vehicles a minimum of 24-Hours in advance, or as directed by the Engineer, of the work to be performed to assure removal of allparked vehicles within the work area. The Contractor shall also be responsible for notifying persons whomay wish to move vehicles from driveways 24-Hours in advance of the work.CONCRETE CONSTRUCTIONAll construction jointing required, i.e., normal saw cuts, tooled, or other acceptable methods,shall be included in the bid price. All excavation required to complete the work shall be incidental to theunit bid price and shall be limited to six inches (6”) either side of the construction limits as specified.Undercuts that may be required shall be authorized and directed by the Engineer prior to the start of anywork. Any over-excavation of the areas shall be at the contractor’s expense. All materials removed shallbe disposed of in a manner satisfactory to the Engineer.CONCRETE PRODUCER RESPONSIBILITIESThe Contractor shall be advised the concrete supplier they choose for this project shall meet orexceed the requirements outlined under the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet Department of HighwaysStandard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, Current Edition, Section 601.03.02, ConcreteProducer responsibilities.MATERIALSThe City Engineer may request copies of the concrete mix design for approval. Submittals should includesource and classification of cement, water, sand, and any admixtures proposed for incorporation into themix. The mix design should include the design air content and the design slump. Additionally, submit
