SCOPE:

Plano Independent School District is requesting statements of qualifications for Delinquent Property Tax Collection Attorney Services. The District seeks to review the qualifications of law firms with experience in the collection of delinquent taxes, licensed to practice in the State of Texas, and with adequate personnel and data processing capacity to process and collect the District’s delinquent tax accounts.

The Plano Independent School District is a public school district and political subdivision of the State of Texas, located primarily in southwest Collin County. Plano ISD currently enrolls approximately 46,500 students.

Plano ISD serves the residents of approximately 100 square miles. This area includes 66 square miles in the City of Plano and parts of Richardson, Dallas, Allen, Carrollton, Garland, Lucas, Murphy, Parker, and Wylie.

Plano ISD's net taxable value is approximately $60 billion with annual budgeted tax collections of approximately $750 million.

TERM:
The contract term is for an initial one (1) year term with four (4) successive one (1) year auto-renewals, based on the long-range needs of the District and mutual consent of both parties not to exceed five (5) years total.
Plano ISD has the option to extend this RFP at the end of the performance period for up to 120 days if determined to be in the best interest of the district to ensure availability of products and/or services.
