ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDCity of Bozeman – MSU Sewer Interceptor Replacement – Phase One
The City of Bozeman will receive online electronic sealed Bids for Construction of the City of Bozeman – MSU Sewer Interceptor Replacement – Phase One until 2:00 p.m. (local time), Wednesday, June 10 th , 2026 and then publicly opened and read aloud.
The project generally includes, but is not limited to the following:
The City of Bozeman MSU Sewer Interceptor Replacement – Phase One consists of two (2) schedules along the interceptor route. Work Schedule 1 generally consists of replacing approximately 2,330’ of 8-inch diameter gravity sewer main within the Kagy Boulevard and South Tracy Avenue corridor. Additionally, Schedule 1 includes replacing approximately 2,210’ of the MSU Sewer Interceptor with new 24-inch, 21-inch, and 12-inch diameter pipelines from the intersection of South Wilson Avenue and Mason Street to south of the Kagy Boulevard and South 3 rd Avenue intersection.
Work Schedule 2 generally consists of replacing and installing approximately 3,615’ of the MSU Sewer Interceptor with 24-inch, 21-inch, and 18-inch diameter pipe along an urban route between the intersection of Babcock Street and South 7 th Avenue to the intersection of South 4 th Avenue and College Street. Additionally, Schedule 2 will include replacing approximately 340’ of an 8-inch water main crossing Cooper Park.
For this project, bids will only be received and accepted via the online electronic bid service through QuestCDN. A Contractor may view the contract documents at no cost prior to becoming a Planholder. Project bid documents and addenda must be downloaded from QuestCDN, which will add your company to the Planholder List and allow access to vBid online bidding, for the submittal of your bid. QuestCDN may be located using the link in the left-hand navigation menu on the City of Bozeman’s Bids\RFPs\RFQs page or at www.bozeman.net/QuestCDN . The specific project can be found by referencing the eBidDoc number (eBidDoc #10193289). Plans may be downloaded for a non-refundable charge of $22.00. Bidders will be charged an additional fee of $42.00 to submit a bid electronically. There will be an optional prebid conference on Friday, May 29 th , 2026 at 1:30 P.M. at the City Shop Complex located at 814 N. Bozeman Avenue.
CONTRACTOR and any of the CONTRACTOR’S subcontractors bidding or doing work on this project will be required to be registered with the Montana Department of Labor and Industry (DLI). Forms for registration are available from the DLI, PO Box 8011, 1805 Prospect, Helena, Montana 59604-8011. Information on registration can be obtained by calling (406) 444-7734. CONTRACTOR is not required to have registered with the DLI prior to bidding on this project but must have registered prior to execution of the Construction Agreement. All laborers and mechanics employed by CONTRACTOR or subcontractors in performance of the construction work shall be paid wages at rates as may be required by the laws of Gallatin County and the state of Montana. Discrimination in the performance of any agreement awarded under this project on the basis of race, color, religion, creed, sex, age, marital status, national origin, or actual or perceived sexual orientation, gender identity or disability is prohibited. This prohibition shall apply to the hiring and treatment of the awarded entity’s employees and to all subcontracts.
As such, each entity submitting under this notice shall include a provision wherein the submitting entity, or entities, affirms in writing it will not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, creed, sex, age, marital status, national origin, or because of actual or perceived sexual orientation, gender identity or disability and which also recognizes the eventual contract will contain a provision prohibiting discrimination as described above and that this prohibition on discrimination shall apply to the hiring and treatment of the submitting entity’s employees and to all subcontracts.
In addition, pursuant to City Commission Resolution 5169 , the entity awarded a contract under this project and any subcontractors must abide by the Equal Pay Act of 1963 and Section 39-3-104, MCA (the Montana Equal Pay Act), and affirm it will abide by the above.
Each Bid or proposal must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier’s Check, or Bid Bond payable to the City of Bozeman, Montana, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the Bid. Copies of the bid bond provided by the Contractor’s Surety Company, a certified check or cashier’s check shall be uploaded through QuestCDN Electronic Bid Bond. Successful BIDDERS shall furnish an approved Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. Insurance as required shall be provided by the successful BIDDER(s) and certificate(s) of that insurance shall be provided.
No Bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled time for the public opening of bids.

The City of Bozeman reserves the right to reject any or all proposals received, to waive informalities to postpone the award of the contract for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days, and to accept the lowest responsive and responsible bid which is in the best interest of the City of Bozeman.
