The City of Muskegon Department of Public Works is issuing an invitation to bid on highway maintenance materials, aggregates, and ready-mix concrete. Highway maintenance materials include: calcium chloride 38% stored (road brine), calcium chloride 32% stored (winter salting), hot mix asphalt 3C base, hot mix asphalt 4C top, Sylvax patching materials, AE90 asphalt emulsion, crack sealant (block form), and mastic (material & equipment). Aggregates include: 32FA/H1 (coarse stone-sand), road slag 22A, natural road gravel 22A 23A, 2NS sand/torpedo sand, screened top soil, and fill sand (Class II or IIIA, not beach sand). Concrete bids are to provide the Department of Public Works with on-site delivery of concrete in the Muskegon area. Bids must be submitted on official bids forms available on the City’s website.
