Bids will be received by the Town of Mooresville for: Lease of Moor Park Stadium for the Town’s Recreation Department , until 12:00 pm EST on Wednesday, June 17, 2026 . Background

Historic Moor Park has always been a part of Mooresville’s baseball history. Opening in 1936, it was home to the Mooresville Moor’s which was a tribute to the Moor brand towels woven at the mill across the street from the park. The mill has evolved into a commercial center that anchors business at the southern end of Mooresville’s downtown core. The park is currently undergoing a multimillion-dollar renovation to include an entirely updated grass playing field, new concessions and restroom buildings, and a smaller version of the Green Monster wall at Boston’s Fenway Park.
