Bids will be received by the Guilford County Purchasing Department, 220 Seneca Road, Greensboro, North
Carolina 27406, until 2:00 P.M. Eastern Time, June 18, 2026, at 2:00 P.M., Easten Time and immediately
thereafter publicly opened and read for Air Handling Unit Renovations at the High Point Detention Center,
located at 507 East Green Drive, High Point, North Carolina.
A MANDATORY Pre-Proposal ZoomGov Meeting will be held Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at 10:00 A.M. You
may join the ZoomGov Meeting from your computer, tablet or smartphone
A MANDATORY site walkthrough will be held, Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at 1:00 P.M. Please plan to meet
outside the front entrance of the High Point Detention Center, located at507 East Green Drive, High Point,
North Carolina. The walkthrough will be conducted by R.C. Pritchard Engineering Services and the Guilford
County Facilities Department.
Attendance is required for both the Pre-Bid ZoomGov Meeting and Site Walkthrough being held on
Tuesday, June 2, 2026, in order to submit a responsive bid! Bids received from individuals or firms
that do not attend both events will be considered non-responsive and will not be considered.
Bidding documents, drawing, and specifications are available for viewing on Guilford County’s Vendor Self
Service automated bidding system at: https://guilfordcountync.munisselfservice.com
Any and all DOCUMENT CLARIFICATION REQUEST concerning the bid documents are to be emailed to
the office of R.C. Pritchard Engineering Service, 212 Kirk Road, Greensboro NC 27455, to the attention of
R. Craig Pritchard, PE, rcpritchardpe@gmail.com with a copy Jared Skelton, Project Manager
jskelton@guilfordcountync.gov and Guilford County Purchasing, DG_Purchasing@guilfordcountync.gov
Respondents or their sub-contractors must be licensed to perform all fields of required work in North
Carolina. Participation of minority-owned and women-owned businesses is encouraged.
Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond, cashiers check or certified check, payable to Guilford County in
the amount of not less than 5% of the bid.
A performance and payment bond will be required from the awarded Contractor for one hundred percent
(100%) of the contract price.
Guilford County reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities.
Per S.L. 2017-210 and Guilford County Ordinance Chapter 17: Electronic Notice section 17-1(a), Guilford County is permitted to publish its legal
notices on the Guilford County Electronic Legal Notices website at https://legalnotices.guilfordcountync.gov/Default.aspx.
