Project Description: The Kenton County Airport Board (“KCAB”) is soliciting proposals relating to a Private Wi-Fi Refresh at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (“CVG”). KCAB installed the current private Wi-Fi infrastructure in 2015 using primarily 802.11ac wave 1 hardware. While this 152 AP and redundant virtual controller environment has been largely stable and low maintenance, KCAB has determined that it’s time to refresh/upgrade the infrastructure and expand its coverage area. There was no need in the original project, for example, to provide private Wi-Fi coverage in all the passenger facilities. As KCAB staff have started using more devices in recent years, IT has been getting more requests for broader coverage in these locations.
