SummaryThe County of San Mateo Human Services Agency is seeking proposals from qualified psychological firms or individuals to provide pre-employment psychological evaluations for applicants to the Fraud Investigator position. The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to identify the most qualified and responsive contractor(s) to provide these services under a proposed five-year agreement.
The selected contractor must be a Licensed Clinical Psychologist authorized to practice in the State of California, with experience conducting pre-employment psychological evaluations in compliance with applicable state and federal laws. Evaluations will be conducted in accordance with standards established by the California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (P.O.S.T.), which requires applicants for the Fraud Investigator position to complete a pre-employment Peace Officer background investigation, including a psychological examination.
The Agency anticipates conducting approximately two evaluations per year, though the actual number may vary depending on hiring needs. Any agreement with the selected contractor will become effective upon approval by the appropriate County authority and execution by both parties.
