Bid Title:	Columbus Rd. and Theatre Ln. Lift Station Replacement

Description: Sealed Bids for the Columbus Rd and Theatre Ln Lift Station Replacement, City Project # 359, will be received by the City of Athens, Ohio, at the City Building, 8 East Washington Street, until 10:00 AM on August 6, 2025. At that time and place, they will be publicly opened and read aloud. All Bids will be considered valid until sixty (60) days after the opening date, although not accepted or rejected. This Project includes the construction of two new lift stations to replace Columbus Rd No. 1 and Theatre Ln lift stations. The Engineer’s Estimate for the Base Bid is $ 1,302,000.00. Instructions to download Bid Specifications and Plans will be emailed to the Bidder. Each Bid shall contain the full name and address of each person or company interested in the same. It shall be accompanied by a Proposal Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Bid, or by a certified check, cashier's check or irrevocable letter of credit for ten percent (10%) of the Bid, made payable to the City of Athens, Ohio, conditioned that if the Bid is accepted, a Contract will be entered into within thirty (30) days after notice of acceptance. A Performance Bond of one hundred percent (100%) of the amount of the Contract with a satisfactory Surety company, conditioned according to law, will be required for the faithful performance of the Contract. The “Prime” Contractor must perform no less than thirty percent (30%) of the total original contract price.  The Work shall commence upon written Notice of Award by the City of Athens. The Contractor must comply with the Federal Prevailing Wage Rates on public improvements in Athens County as ascertained by the State of Ohio Department of Industrial Relations under the Davis-Bacon Act. The Contractor must comply with US Iron and Steel requirements per 23 CFR 635.410 and ORC 153.011 and 5525.21.
