OverviewPost InformationPosted At:Thu, Jan 2, 2025 2:24 PMSealed Bid Process:Yes (Bids Sealed / Pricing Sealed)Private Bid:NoSummaryThe purpose of this document is to provide interested parties with information to enable them to prepare and submit a proposal according to the specifications set forth within this document.
The County intends to use the results of this process to award a contract or issue a purchase order for the product(s) and/or service(s) stated: The Dane County Office of Energy & Climate Change (OECC) is soliciting applications from non-profit or fiscally-sponsored organizations to participate in the Dane County Electric Vehicle (EV) Advisory Commission.
Consistent with its Charge Up Dane County grant from the US Department of Transportation Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), Dane County is establishing the EV Advisory Commission to support OECC efforts to expand EV charging infrastructure across Dane County. EV Advisory Commission members will provide advice to OECC on the criteria for station locations and also assist with community outreach associated with station siting. In addition to the entities identified in the grant as EV Advisory Commission participants, OECC will select three entities representing environmental justice, rural and economic justice interests across Dane County.
Dane County requires that all applicants complete the Vendor Application in its entirety, and sign the Signature Power Form at the end of the Questionnaire. Failure to do so may result in the application to become ineligible for funding and may not be scored. Only one application per entity will be accepted for this RFP.
The Dane County Purchasing Division is the sole point of contact for questions and issues that may arise during the RFP process.
BackgroundDane County is poised to be a regional leader in electrifying transportation, with a strong electric bike share network, a new all-electric bus-rapid transit system, and rapidly electrifying municipal fleets. While these low- and no-carbon transportation options benefit our community and reduce GHG emissions, they are not equitably distributed throughout the region. Adding publicly accessible EV charging infrastructure is critical for making EV transportation available to everyone, especially those living in rural areas, low- and moderate-income neighborhoods, and multi-family housing.
Charge Up Dane County will use a data-driven, community-informed approach to build new EV charging stations. Stations will be sited, designed, and operated to prioritize and deliver benefits to disadvantaged, overburdened, and underserved communities to advance Justice40. The community-based organizations (CBOs) selected through this RFP will support those efforts.
Consistent with our grant application, the three (3) selected CBOs will be compensated for their time at EV Advisory Commission meetings and for project-specific community engagement efforts. In the grant proposal we allocated a maximum of $37,650 for each CBO.
