Smart Denture Conversions, LLC, was founded to manufacture and sell proprietary dental parts that simplify and improve the process of converting full-arch dentures for screw attachment to dental implants for immediate loading. The key component in the Smart Denture system is its patent-pending separable fastener that enables quick, simple, reliable pickup of temporary cylinders from implant abutments in a manner that allows for small channels to be created for the attachment screws in a minor magnitude that does not damage the prosthetic and yields an aesthetic result that is very appealing to the patient. Using the Smart Denture Conversion system, a prosthetic can be converted in far less time with far stronger and more predictable results than conventional conversion methods.

Perfect occlusion is achieved with this system by the patient setting the bite with the prosthetic in the mouth. The quality of a provisional prosthetic converted with the Smart Denture method is so fine that after a few weeks of tissue healing and osseointegration of the implants, a final prosthetic can easily be created using the Smart Denture provisional prosthetic as a template. In a recent case using the Smart Denture system, an oral surgeon and a restorative prosthodontist completed a dual arch procedure involving the extraction of 20 teeth, 5 mm of alveo bone reduction, placement of 16 implants and 16 multi-unit abutments, and conversion of two dentures in just under three hours from start to finish. Using conventional conversion methods for such a case would have required the patient to be in the clinic for the entire day, ending the day with a far weaker and less attractive provisional denture.
