Transfer Media is an audio and video tape restoration, transfer and conversion company, owned and operated by a professional media production engineer with over 30 years of experience in high-profile, critical venues. Customers who require the best possible image and sound on their digital masters will appreciate our custom-engineered workflows. We traverse the industry norm by adding expertise and additional equipment to the analog to digital conversion step, ensuring the utmost possible quality in this critical phase. We continue our specialized process by offering corrective digital processes to our customers who desire their standard definition masters to be ready for playback through HD monitors or venues. We perform all transfers in our Indianapolis, Indiana facility. References are available on request to archivists and project managers. We also offer tape damage mitigation and recovery services.
High band and low band 2¡± Quadruplex ('Quad'), One-inch type-C, MII, Betacam SP, D1, Digital-S, Digital Betacam and HDCAM. We have also developed a system to obtain the best possible quality from ¡°color-under¡± tape formats such as 3/4¡± U-matic, VHS, Betamax and Video8 / Hi8 8mm video. Past customers have been amazed at the unexpected fidelity of those finished products compared to the originals. We also have lab-grade dehydration chambers on site, in order to process tapes with sticky-shed syndrome.
