Southern Services & Equipment, Inc. (SSE) is a versatile, large capacity, full-service facility for steel fabrication, structural steel erection, precision CNC machining, forming, welding, engineering, design and support, prototyping, product assembly, painting, blasting and finishing, and quality measurement control. SSE is certified by the American Institute of Steel Construction as a Certified Fabricator and Steel Erector, with an endorsement in Bridge Component Manufacturing. We also offer field welding services for on-site fabrication and emergency repair. SSE manufactures a wide variety of items, including canopies, handrails, guardrails, stairs, gates, catwalks, metal parts, machined parts, pins, plates, bollards, anchors, tanks, shafts, troughs, test weights, ramps, tension connectors, and also structural steel sections such as beams, channels, angle iron, square and rectangular tubes, flat bar, strip plate and grating.
In 2016 we purchased a state-of-the-art robotic CNC plasma machine called the 'PythonX Structural Fabrication System'. This system allows us to process structural steel at a fraction of the time it would take with traditional methods. Other equipment in our facility includes a Multican/Hypertherm CNC plasma machine, press brakes, shears, plate rollers, pipe and angle rollers and late-model welding machines. SSE also has an in-house CNC machine shop that complements our fabrication facility, which includes a 5-axis CNC vertical machining center, CNC lathe, 3 manual lathes, 3 manual mills and a balancing machine. We also have sandblasting and painting facilities at this location.
