The Minnesota Department of Information Technology Services (MNIT) partnering with the Department of Veterans Affairs (MDVA) intends to renew an agreement with lnovalon Provider, Inc. (lnovalon) for up to 12 months for software and support services for the Ability EASE Software Suite (EASE). EASE is used for viewing, editing, and submitting Medicare claims. Medicare data comes from a mainframe and the base service, Direct Data Entry (DDE), presents the data in a very raw format. EASE is Windows-based and presents the same data in a readable and user-Âfriendly format with the capability to download to Excel. In addition, custom configurations and implementations have been incorporated so the software can integrate with MDVA's system for veteran home resident healthcare records.
MNIT and MDVA determined that EASE is the only commercially reasonably available commodity product. This is deemed a single source purchase because EASE is solely distributed and supported by lnovalon and is not available from other third parties.
If there are any concerns regarding this single source opportunity, please contact Calleigh Hoffenkamp via email at; calleigh.hoffenkamp@state.mn.us prior to May 29, 2026 by 2:00PM CST. Please include the posting reference number and title of the posting in the subject line.
